Meet Dr. Vincent Guilamo-Ramos.

PhD, MPH, LCSW, RN, ANP-BC, PMHNP-BC, AAHIVS

Dr. Ramos is dually licensed in New York State as a primary care adult nurse practitioner (ANP-BC) and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with prescriptive privileges in New York State. He is bicultural and bilingual in English and Spanish. All services are confidentially provided through a HIPAA-compliant psychiatric telecare health platform.

  • Dr. Ramos has national board certification as both a psychiatric mental health and adult health nurse practitioner, and is certified as an HIV specialist (AAHIVS) by the American Academy of HIV Medicine. 

  • Dr. Ramos routinely works collaboratively with social workers and other non-prescriber mental health colleagues seeking psychopharmacologic treatment for their therapy clients. Dr. Ramos is also licensed in New York State as a clinical social worker (LCSW). He has been a provider of mental health services for more than two decades.

  • Dr. Ramos is the recipient of numerous national awards and acknowledgments for his work in addressing the health and wellbeing of diverse New York State communities. His work has been featured in The New York Times and The Washington Post and on NPR as well as in extensive research publications and scientific conferences.

Dr. Ramos provides confidential psychiatric and sexual and reproductive health services through a HIPAA-compliant tele-behavioral health platform. All sessions and services are delivered remotely or through referral to a collaborating local laboratory of the patient’s choosing. Patients throughout New York State can access psychiatric care from the privacy, safety, and comfort of their homes. Prescriptions are electronically transferred to the patient’s preferred local or mail-order pharmacy. Patients typically receive a prescription every 30 days provided treatment is clinically stable.

  • Dr. Ramos received his PhD in social welfare from SUNY Albany, and his Master of Clinical Social Work (MSW) degree from New York University.

  • In addition, he holds a graduate degree from the Duke University School of Nursing in nurse practitioner primary care and HIV specialization and a graduate post-masters psychiatric mental health certificate across the lifespan from Adelphi University.

  • Dr. Ramos also earned a graduate degree in management from the Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service at NYU and a graduate degree in public health from the Global Health Leadership NYU MPH Program.
